What you’ll gain
- Exposure to strategic projects and investment decisions across the organisation.
- The opportunity to partner with project sponsors, business leaders and teams across Finance, Transformation, Risk and Technology.
- A role where your financial insight can directly influence project performance and strategic outcomes.
- Broad experience across investment evaluation, forecasting, benefits realisation and financial governance.
- The chance to contribute within a purpose-led, member-owned bank.
What you’ll do
- Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts and funding allocations, helping projects remain within approved financial parameters.
- Provide commercial insight and trusted financial advice to project sponsors and business leaders.
- Deliver clear monthly reporting on budget performance, forecasts, funding utilisation and investment outcomes.
- Establish and monitor project benefits, supporting accountability for expected financial and strategic value.
- Build financial models, cost-benefit analyses and investment assessments to support business cases, prioritisation and funding decisions.
- Identify financial risks and issues, recommend practical responses, and support compliance with relevant financial policies and governance requirements.
What you’ll bring
Essential
- A bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
- CPA or CA qualification.
- At least three years of relevant finance experience, including experience gained within a leading professional services, consulting or top-tier accounting environment.
- Experience in business partnering or project finance management.
- The ability to build credible working relationships with stakeholders at different levels of an organisation.
- Strong financial analysis, written communication and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Word capability, together with experience using Power BI.
- The ability to manage deadlines, work accurately and operate effectively when priorities or information are changing.
Nice to have
- Experience in retail, consumer or personal banking.
- An understanding of retail banking balance sheets and profit and loss drivers.
- Experience identifying and implementing improvements to financial processes, reporting or decision support.
If you bring most, but not every element of the experience described, we still encourage you to consider applying.
