- High-impact FP&A; Manager | Divisional P&L; ownership
- Opportunity to shape forecasting, reporting and commercial decision-making
- Hybrid | SE Eastern Suburbs | Large complex multinational
The Opportunity
This is a large, established multinational with a complex Australian operation and a strong market position. While the business is well established, its finance function is continuing to improve the way it forecasts, analyses performance and provides visibility to the business. This is not a role for someone who simply wants to inherit a well-oiled FP&A; function. There is plenty to get involved in, improve forecasting, data quality, reporting and visibility of the key drivers of performance. Our client is looking for someone who enjoys finding the problem, understanding why it exists and then doing something about it. this role will suit someone who is commercially minded, highly analytical and naturally curious.
The Challenge
- Own forecasting, budgeting, financial modelling and P&L; performance analysis
- Get underneath the numbers to understand the commercial drivers of revenue, cost and margin
- Partner with operational leaders to challenge performance and identify opportunities to improve the P&L;
- Build and enhance forecasting, reporting and data analytics capability
- Use Power BI and SQL to improve data quality and turn complex operational data into meaningful commercial insights
- Develop scenario modelling and analysis to support better business decisions
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting and the way the business uses data
The Expertise
- CA/CPA qualified with strong FP&A; or commercial finance experience
- CIMA and/or CFA would be highly advantageous
- Proven ability to analyse business performance and translate data into actionable insights
- Strong financial modelling, forecasting and budgeting capability
- Commercially minded, curious and comfortable challenging the numbers
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence operational leaders
- Advanced Excel skills; Power BI and SQL experience highly regarded
- Experience in a service, field-based, operational or similarly complex workplace would be advantageous
- Hands‑on approach with a genuine interest in improving how a business operates
