The Attorney-General's Department (AGD) is seeking an experienced and organised Executive Level 2 Officer to lead the Cabinet Section within the Strategy and Governance Branch.
The department plays a key role in supporting the Australian Government's development of policy and legislative proposals that strengthen Australia's law and justice system, upholding the rule of law and supporting the Attorney General as First Law Officer.
Our engagement with the Cabinet process is an important part of this role, ensuring the Attorney-General is supported in contributing to significant government decisions and policy outcomes.

We are seeking a candidate with the ability to work strategically and collaboratively, influence stakeholders, deliver outcomes in a rapid-paced setting, and develop and maintain excellent relationships across the department at all levels.
The ideal candidate will:
Experience drafting and reviewing Cabinet submissions and preparing Cabinet comments will be advantageous.
