About The Opportunity

Be part of a dynamic, multidisciplinary team providing high-quality mental health care in a diverse and vibrant community. The Mental Health Service at Bankstown Community Mental Health, part of South Western Sydney Local Health District, is offering an excellent chance for a Staff Specialist (SS) Psychiatrist to join its dedicated and multidisciplinary team on a permanent part time basis. This role provides the chance to work in a vibrant and diverse community, delivering person-centred, recovery-focused care to individuals with complex mental health needs. As a Staff Specialist, you will play a key role in clinical decision-making, contribute to service development, and collaborate closely with other health professionals to ensure the highest standards of care. This is an ideal opportunity for psychiatrists seeking flexible working arrangements while making a meaningful contribution to community mental health.

Where You'll Be Working

SWSLHD Community Mental Health Services provide comprehensive, community-based mental health care across South Western Sydney. These services cater to different age groups, including children, adolescents, adults, and older persons,



ensuring specialised care throughout various life stages. The multidisciplinary teams offer a range of supports, including mental health assessments, crisis intervention, care coordination, and therapy. They work closely with inpatient services, GPs, and other community organisations to provide holistic care. The focus on community health and wellbeing makes SWSLHD Community Mental Health Services an ideal place to work, providing opportunities for professional growth and the chance to make a meaningful impact on the community.
