Newcomb Smiles Dental is a growing, up-to-date dental practice in Geelong's eastern suburbs, part of the same ownership group as the well-established Dove Dental Waurn Ponds. We're a small, close-knit team and looking for someone who can hit the ground running.
About the Role n
We need an experienced, dual-skilled team member who can step confidently into both chairside dental assisting and front-of-house reception from day one. You'll work directly alongside our dentists, moving between clinical support and patient-facing admin as the day requires. As the clinic continues to grow, there's genuine scope for the right person to take on more responsibility over time - this isn't just a DA/reception role, it's a foot in the door.
Key Responsibilities n
Chairside assisting: infection control, instrument prep and sterilisation, patient preparation, assisting during procedures
n
Reception: appointment scheduling, patient check-in/out, phone and email enquiries
n
Processing payments and health fund claims
n




Maintaining smooth patient flow between the clinical and front-of-house sides of the practice
n
Supporting the day-to-day running of a small, growing clinic
About You n
Experienced Dental Assistant (Certificate III/IV highly regarded)
and
front-desk/reception experience in a dental or allied health setting
n
Confident working independently across both roles without on-the-job training
n
Familiarity with dental practice management software
n
Calm, adaptable, and comfortable switching between clinical support and patient-facing admin
n
Ambitious and reliable, with an interest in growing into a more senior or management-level role as the practice expands
