We are looking for an experienced and passionate
Senior Sous Chef
to join our busy bistro venue in
South Yarra
.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands‐on chef who enjoys working in a high-volume setting and is ready to take on a key leadership role within the kitchen.
About the Role n
n
n
Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
n
n
Lead and motivate the kitchen team during busy service periods
n
n
Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency
n
n
Assist with menu development and seasonal specials
n
n
Manage kitchen operations, including prep, service and close-down
n
n
Ensure food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety standards are maintained
n
n
Assist with ordering, stock control and wastage management
n
n
Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff
n
n




Help maintain a positive, organised and professional kitchen environment
n
About You n
n
n
Previous experience as a
Senior Sous Chef or Sous Chef
in a busy bistro, restaurant or high-volume venue
n
n
Robust leadership and communication skills
n
n
Excellent time management and organisational skills
n
n
Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
n
n
Robust understanding of food safety and kitchen procedures
n
n
A hands‐on approach with a passion for quality food
n
n
Flexibility to work across a range of shifts, including evenings and weekends
n
n
