We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Mechanic to join its team in Alice Springs.
n
The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, fault finding, repair, and commissioning of domestic and commercial refrigeration and air-conditioning systems.
n
The role will involve working across a range of refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment while maintaining high standards of workmanship, customer service, safety, and professionalism.
n
The successful candidate will be expected to work independently when required, contribute positively to the team, and maintain respectful relationships with clients and co-workers.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
n

Carry out domestic and commercial refrigeration and air-conditioning installation, servicing, and maintenance.
n
Install, service, and maintain ducted and split-system air-conditioning systems.
n
Perform routine preventative maintenance on refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment.
n
Inspect systems to identify defects, wear, and potential operational issues.
n
Ensure systems operate efficiently and safely.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience

Mandatory

AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV equivalent to ANZSCO Skill Level 3.
n
Demonstrated experience with ducted and split-system air-conditioning installation.
n
Demonstrated experience in domestic refrigeration and air-conditioning maintenance and servicing.
n
Demonstrated experience in commercial refrigeration and air-conditioning maintenance and servicing.
n
Robust practical knowledge of refrigeration systems and components.
n
Ability to diagnose faults and complete repairs.
n
Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications.
n
Ability to work safely with refrigeration equipment, tools, and systems.
n
Robust commitment to customer service and quality workmanship.
n
Experience organising, mentoring, or working with apprentices.
n
Experience across a broad range of domestic and commercial refrigeration systems.
n
Experience working in regional or remote settings.
n
Additional refrigeration, air-conditioning, electrical, or technical certifications.
n
AUD 79,499 per annum + Superannuation.
n
Salary is aligned with the stated TSMIT.
