Our client, a specialist data services company, is seeking a highly skilled Backend QA Engineer to join their cutting-edge team. This initial 12 month contract role offers an exciting prospect to leverage your backend automation testing expertise and solid Java coding skills within a agile and collaborative environment.
Key responsibilities:

n
Design, develop, and execute robust automation tests to ensure product quality
n
Analyze test results meticulously and track software defects for timely resolutions
n
Maintain and enhance automation testing frameworks, with a focus on daily regression test monitoring
n
Collaborate closely with QA analysts, developers, and product owners to establish effective test strategies and comprehensive plans
n
What we're looking for:
n
n
Strong foundation in testing principles and backend testing methodologies
n
Minimum 5 years hands‐on experience in Java test automation within complex software development lifecycles
n
Experience as a Software Engineer In Test
n
Proficiency in performance testing tools such as K6
n




Experience working with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
n
Familiarity with Agile development workflows, using JIRA and Confluence effectively
n
Hands‐on experience with API testing tools like Postman
n
Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins and Git
n
Comfortable working in Linux/CentOS environments
n
Experience with databases such as MySQL and Aerospike
n
Strong problem‐solving abilities and excellent verbal and written communication skills
n
Additional Valuable Skills
n
n
Exposure to Kafka, Prometheus, and Grafana to monitor and analyze system performance
n
n
