Street Cleansing Labourer / Field Staff | Local Council | $38/hr + Penalties
Ongoing casual work | October/November 2026 – February 2027
Complete Staff Solutions is seeking reliable and physically fit Street Cleansing Labourers / Field Staff to join a busy Local Council team working across the Willoughby LGA .
This is an outdoor, hands-on role suited to someone who is reliable, comfortable with physical work and available to work a Monday–Sunday rotating roster , including early mornings, afternoons, weekends and public holidays as required.
About the Role
You’ll play an important role in keeping streets, shopping precincts and public spaces across the Willoughby area clean, protected and presentable.
Typical start times include:
- Depot: 1:30am or 6:30am starts
- Mall: 11:30am or 12:30pm starts
- Finish times may vary depending on operational requirements and events
Key Duties
- Litter picking and street cleansing
- Street sweeping
- Servicing and emptying public bins
- Using street cleansing equipment
- Completing work orders
- General public-domain cleansing
- Manual handling and outdoor labouring
- Working independently and as part of a team
What You'll Need
- Current Class C driver's licence – essential
- Reliable transport
- Previous experience in cleansing, waste, street cleaning or similar work
- Physically fit and comfortable undertaking outdoor manual work
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to work across a Monday–Sunday roster
- MR licence – desirable
- Experience operating street cleansing equipment – desirable
Pre-Employment Requirements
- Current National Police Check (within the last 12 months)
- 2 recent employment references
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment

- Casual assignment starting ASAP 2026 to February 2027 , subject to operational requirements
