Graphic designer/finished artist - Contract Mat Leave Role

Boutique, dynamic Hawthorn graphic design studio seeking a tertiary-qualified designer to join our team. Thisis a full-time contract mat leave position.

The role encompasses an 40/60 split between print and multimedia. You will be working on concept development, design and production of finished artwork for print comms; as well as eDMs, interactive documents, digital advertising including social media campaigns,video editing and animation; and website builds for clients in corporate, retail, government and SME across a diverse range of industries. For the right employee the opportunity exists to actively contribute to all projects in the studio.

Your skills and demonstrated experience will include:

Tertiary or other recognised qualifications in graphic design/visual communication and/or related fields

Sound working knowledge of Adobe CC (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects and Animate)

Experience with Figma, CMS (Wordpress) website and eDM systems (eg MailChimp)

Industry experience from a professional design studio environment including familiarity with digital asset libraries

An enthusiasm for continual skills development,



both with design flair and software advancement, including current AI workflow integrations to improve productivity

Detailed knowledge of design principles for both print and online

Excellent typographic skills and meticulous attention to detail

Ability to work seamlessly on multiple projects and manage time effectively

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Robust interpersonal skills and commitment to working in a team

Advantageous to your application:

Demonstrated experience and application of corporate brand guidelines

Experience with HTML5, CSS3 an asset

CRM system (HubSpot) knowledge

Full-time contract role for seven months, beginning December 1 through to July 30, with potential to extend contract.

As collaboration is a vital part of our business model we have implemented hybrid working with three days in the studio and two days working from home. The contract role will join in the days onsite (Tue-Wed-Thu).

Salary commensurate with experience.
