About the Role
At AES Canberra, part of the Animal Emergency Australia (AEA) network, you’ll work at the forefront of emergency medicine, delivering life-saving care when it matters most.
This role is ideal for a highly skilled ECC nurse looking for greater impact and autonomy or an experienced GP nurse seeking to transition to ECC.
- Hands on triage, pathology, radiography, treatments, surgery, and patient care
- Critical care nursing, we pride ourselves on delivering excellent patient care
- Roster designed to support nurse wellbeing, learning & development, mentoring
- Varied and high-acuity cases, from trauma and ticks to GDVs, snake bites and more
About You
- 2+ years clinical experience (ECC highly regarded but not essential)
- Flexibility to work a mix of nights, overnights, weekends and holidays
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or Bachelor of Veterinary Technology
- Robust communication skills and a collaborative approach
- You bring a growth mindset, love learning new skills and best-practice methods
- Committed to providing quality care within an open hospital model
- Be part of an on-call roster, picking up one shift a month
- Reliable mode of transport
