We offer contemporary fine dining, a vibrant café, and a busy functions venue covering weddings, corporate events, and special celebrations. Next door, our Gelato operation adds another dimension to the Altitude experience. We're a venue with real momentum, and we're looking for a leader to take us to the next level.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced, driven Restaurant Manager to lead our front-of-house operations and be a key part of our venue's growth. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will oversee the restaurant, coordinate with kitchen and functions teams, and provide operational oversight of our adjoining Gelato outlet.

You will report directly to the owner/director and play a central role in shaping the guest experience, growing revenue, and building a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily restaurant and café operations

Lead and manage a team of approximately 20–25 employees

Drive sales growth and improve overall venue performance

Bring in and coordinate functions, events and group bookings

Manage staffing levels and control wage costs effectively





Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service operations

Maintain robust customer service and presentation standards

Handle employee relations professionally and fairly

Train, motivate and develop team members to required standards

Oversee stock management, purchasing and inventory controls

Support and oversee the neighbouring Gelato operations in relation to wages, purchasing and standards (with support from the Café Supervisor)

Follow directions from the Owner/Director and assist with business growth initiatives

Skills & Experience Required

Proven experience managing a restaurant or hospitality venue

Proven track record of improving sales and venue performance

Strong understanding of employee relations and Fair Work obligations

Weekend and public holiday availability.

Confident with rostering and wage control

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Full Australian working rights.

Experience bringing in functions or events business

Familiarity with the Illawarra/Wollongong hospitality market
