Salary: Offering a pay rate of $33.05 per hour + 25% casual loading + 12% Super + Not-for-profit tax benefits - salary packaging of up to $31,800 per year

About the Role

As a Cook at RSL LifeCare, every day you’re empowered to make a meaningful difference to people’s lives. Within our supportive work setting your skills and compassion are valued. You will have the opportunity to:

- Preparation and service of meals ensuring nutritious and wholesome food and variety of food.
- Preparation of special diets and modified diets as required including low salt, diabetic, soft and pureed.
- Dishwashing and cleaning of the kitchen, equipment and dining areas.
- Preparation and service of meals for functions.
- In conjunction with the manager, assist with conducting quarterly internal Food Safety Audits as per Food Safety Plan.
- Support the food and supplies ordering process, receipting and financial reconciliation.

About You





We are looking for:

- Your demonstrated compassion and empathy.
- Your excellent communication skills, both verbal and written to ensure the best possible resident experience and teamwork.
- Your experience in catering to modified diets.
- Your ability to work efficiently and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Current knowledge of Food Handling Legislative including HACCP requirements.
- Certificate 3 or 4 in Commercial Cookery.
- Australian Working Rights.

Compliance

It is a mandatory requirement for a team member working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid Police Check or a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of the role. Clearances must be verified prior to commencing employment with RSL LifeCare.
