We're looking for a hands-on HR & WHS Manager to lead HR, health and safety across our four sites and around 50 staff.

About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager, you'll be the go-to person for people and safety. You'll lead HR from recruitment through to performance appraisals. You'll also manage WHS across our joinery manufacturing warehouse and our construction site installation work, including the WHS documentation and policies.

Key Responsibilities

HR

- Run end-to-end recruitment: job ads, LinkedIn sourcing, screening, task-based assessments and interviews
- Manage recruitment agencies and offshore staffing providers, including negotiating agreements
- Prepare offer letters and contracts, and run onboarding for recent starters
- Set up and monitor the employee appraisal process, including probation reviews
- Handle employee relations, investigations and disciplinary processes
- Maintain position descriptions, personnel records and award compliance

WHS

- Prepare and maintain WHS policies, SWMS and site-specific safety plans for builders and principal contractors
- Respond to customer pre-qualification and WHS document requests
- Audit installation crews for compliance on construction sites
- Manage warehouse WHS risks, including machinery guarding, manual handling, forklifts, dust and chemicals
- Manage workers compensation claims and return-to-work plans
- Deliver WHS inductions and training, and lead the WHS Committee

What We're Looking For

Required:

- Qualification in HR,



WHS or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years in an HR and/or WHS role in construction, manufacturing or an industrial setting
- Generalist HR experience across recruitment, onboarding, appraisals and employee relations
- Construction site WHS experience, including SWMS and site safety plans for builders
- WHS experience in a joinery manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Strong knowledge of the Fair Work Act and NSW WHS legislation

Nice to Have:

- Current White Card
- Experience with HammerTech and similar platforms
- Background in compact laminate, joinery or building products manufacturing
- Odoo or similar ERP experience

Work Conditions

- Full-time, based in Sydney with as-required travel between our four sites
- Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm
