We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to deliver planned, reactive and corrective electrical maintenance across facilities environments, while providing advanced fault diagnosis, testing and technical assurance.

Job Description

We are looking for a qualified electrical professional with strong experience in building services maintenance and commercial facilities environments, who is committed to electrical safety and willing to progress through formal HV and LV Appointed Person training and competency assessments.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and corrective electrical works across commercial and facilities environments.
- Undertake advanced electrical fault finding, diagnosis and repair activities, including work on three-phase electrical systems.
- Work towards formal High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) Appointed Person authorisation through training, site familiarisation, mentoring and competency assessments.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with BS 7671, Electricity at Work Regulations, company electrical safety rules, RAMS, lock-off procedures and permit-to-work systems.
- Support the management of electrical contractors and specialist HV/LV providers.
- Review technical information associated with electrical works, testing and certification.
- Check completed electrical works to ensure compliance with required standards and specifications.
- Participate in emergency response and call-out arrangements where required.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

- Recognised Level 3 electrotechnical qualification, completed electrical apprenticeship or equivalent recognised competency route.
- AM2/AM2S or recognised equivalent.





Skills and Experience

- Previous experience providing reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) within building services maintenance.
- Experience working within facilities management (FM) or building services in commercial properties.
- Previous experience working within a facilities or building services environment.
- Ability and willingness to progress through formal HV and LV Appointed Person training and competency assessment.
- Strong communication, organisational and record-keeping skills.

- Practical experience of:
- Three-phase electrical distribution
- Switchgear
- Protection systems
- Electrical fault finding
- Safe isolation
- Electrical testing
