Training Lead
Initial contract until 30 June 2027 + Possible extension

We're partnering with a large Queensland Government organisation to recruit an experienced Training Lead .

This role will play a key part in a major finance transformation initiative, supporting the transition from SAP ECC6 to SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud. Working within a dedicated project team, you'll lead the design and delivery of a comprehensive training strategy that prepares end users for current ways of working and drives successful adoption across the organisation.

Reporting to the Project Manager and leading a small training function, you'll collaborate closely with project, change and business stakeholders to ensure training activities are aligned to project outcomes, business readiness objectives and implementation milestones.

What you'll be doing

- Lead the SAP S/4HANA training strategy and roadmap
- Conduct training needs analysis across user groups
- Design role-based learning and capability programs
- Develop user guides, workbooks and quick reference materials
- Create eLearning and facilitator-led training content
- Coordinate training schedules and delivery logistics
- Deliver classroom and virtual training sessions
- Support training activities across regional locations
- Drive user readiness and adoption initiatives
- Measure training effectiveness and outcomes
- Analyse feedback and improve learning approaches
- Manage training risks and mitigation plans
- Collaborate with project, change and business teams
- Provide guidance to SMEs and training resources

What you need to bring

- Experience leading large-scale training programs
- Strong adult learning and instructional design skills
- ERP transformation training experience
- SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC or similar platform exposure




- Experience developing blended learning solutions
- Strong facilitation and presentation skills
- Excellent stakeholder engagement capability
- Experience supporting organisational change initiatives
- Ability to influence across multiple business areas
- Strong written communication and content development skills
- Experience conducting training needs assessments
- Strong planning and coordination skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Experience leading or mentoring training teams and SMEs

Bonus points for

- SAP S/4HANA implementation experience
- Finance systems or finance process knowledge
- Queensland Government or public sector experience
- PRINCE2, Agile or similar project delivery experience
- Qualifications in Learning & Development, Training or Change Management

Important to know

- Brisbane CBD based role
- Travel to regional Queensland locations may be required
- SAP finance transformation experience is highly regarded
- Applicants must have Australian working rights
