ThisopportunityissuitedtomachinistswhocandemonstrategenuinetradeexperienceacrossCNCmachiningcentres,CNClathesandmanualmachiningequipment.Yourpracticalskills,abilitytointerprettechnicaldrawingsandexperienceworkingtostrictqualitystandardswillbecentraltotherole.

Thesuccessfulcandidatewillcontributetospecialisedmanufacturingprojectssupportingdemandingindustriessuchasmining,energy,marineanddefence.

Key Responsibilities

- SetupandoperateCNCmachiningcentresandCNClathes
- ProgramCNCmachineryusingappropriatemachiningmethods
- OperateOkumaorequivalentCNCequipment
- UseOne-Touchprogrammingwhereapplicable
- Readandinterpretengineeringdrawingsandspecifications
- Selectappropriatematerials,toolingandmachiningprocesses
- Operatemanuallathesandotherconventionalmachiningequipment
- Produceaccuratecomponentstorequiredtolerances
- Inspectcompletedworkandmaintainconsistentqualitystandards
- Identifyandresolvemachiningandequipmentissues




- Maintainmachineryandequipmentinsafeworkingcondition
- Followworkplacesafety,qualityandproductionprocedures
- Workcollaborativelytomeetproductionrequirementsanddeadlines

Requirements & Eligibility

- TradequalificationinMetalMachiningoranequivalentqualification
- Minimum3yearsofrelevantpost-trademachiningexperience
- Demonstratedhands-onCNCmachiningexperience
- ExperiencewithCNClathesandmachiningcentres
- Okumamachiningexperienceishighlydesirable
- One-Touchprogrammingexperienceisadvantageous
- Strongabilitytointerprettechnicaldrawings
- Abilitytodemonstrategenuineandverifiablemachiningexperience
- ForkliftLFClasslicenceispreferred
- AustralianDriver’sLicenceispreferred
- Abilitytosuccessfullycompletepre-employmentmedicalscreening
- Abilitytosuccessfullycompletedrugandalcoholscreening
