APS5 Project Officer & APS6 Senior Project Officer
Our client is seeking experienced professionals to join a high-profile national public health initiative, with opportunities available at both the APS5 Project Officer and APS6 Senior Project Officer levels.
These roles will support the delivery of nationally significant surveillance programs focused on monitoring and reporting health-related data, working closely with government stakeholders, laboratories, service providers and technical specialists to ensure effective program delivery and continuous improvement.
- Initial contract through to 30 November 2028
- 12-month extension option
- Flexible location, Canberra-based preferred (remote and flexible working arrangements available by agreement)
- Baseline Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain one) required
About the Roles
As a Project Officer or Senior Project Officer, you will support the management and delivery of complex national programs through a combination of project coordination, stakeholder engagement, contract administration, reporting and governance activities.
Responsibilities may include:
- Project and program coordination
- Contract and procurement administration
- Funding and budget support
- Stakeholder engagement and relationship management
- Data governance and data access coordination
- Reporting, publications and communications support
- Coordination of dashboards,
analytics and reporting outputs
- Operational and administrative support activities
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and business processes
The APS6 position will involve a greater level of autonomy, coordination and stakeholder management with responsibility for supporting complex projects and providing advice to program leadership.
About You
To be successful, you will bring:
- Experience supporting projects, programs or business operations within government, healthcare, scientific, research or related environments
- Solid organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Well-developed stakeholder engagement and relationship management capabilities
- Experience with governance, reporting, procurement, contract management or administrative coordination
- Strong attention to detail and sound judgement
Highly Desirable
Qualifications, knowledge or experience in Public health, Microbiology, Laboratory science
