The Working Environment
Full-time, studio-based role
Based in Surfers Paradise
Standard hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm
The Role
- Lead full end to end project lifecycle delivery including briefing, concept, documentation, and construction
- Manage scope, budget, programme, and resourcing
- Lead design direction aligned with client vision, budget, and constraints
- Oversee high-quality documentation (DA, BA, IFC)
- Coordinate teams and consultants to deliver clear outcomes
- Ensure compliance with NCC, standards, and regulations
- Maintain project quality, clarity, and efficiency
- Mentor and support junior architects and graduates
- Foster a collaborative, accountable team setting
- Manage tendering, procurement, and contractor selection
- Administer contracts and construction phase services
- Review RFIs, shop drawings, variations, and claims
- Help shape the culture, standards, and future direction of the practice
A Successful Candidate
- Registered Architect (Australia) with local project experience
- Strong experience delivering complex residential or mixed-use projects
- Confident leading projects independently and managing multiple priorities
- Highly detail-oriented with strong coordination skills
- Solid understanding of construction methodology, detailing, and structural coordination
- Experience with precast /modular systems highly regarded
- Exposure to costing or development-side thinking is a strong advantage
- Advanced Revit skills + Adobe Suite
- Strong communicator: pragmatic, clear, and solutions-focused
