Community Accessability - Enabling Independence
Community Accessability is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting the independence and inclusion of people with disabilities and the elderly. With six offices across regional Victoria, we provide transport, community access, and in-home services through the NDIS, HACCPYP and Aged Care programs.
We're proud to have a committed team and volunteers who are all driven by a shared vision of enhancing lives and building stronger communities.
At Community Accessability we believe that every person has the opportunity to live the life they choose. We are passionate about supporting and connecting people with the services they need to maintain their independence.
What we can offer:
- Supportive team workplace
- Reimbursement for travel
- Work life balance
- Access to salary packaging, meal and entertainment benefits - up to $15,900 per year tax free as well as up to $2,650 of your pre-tax income to pay for meal and entertainment benefits
- Access to group buying discounts through our HR platform
- Access to EAP
- Security and stability within a large and growing organisation
- Career progression opportunities and experience with a registered NDIS provider
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Homecare Employee to join our team! In this role, you will have the ability to make a positive impact on the lives of older Australians, and individuals 0-65 who need our support (not NDIS)
assisting them in staying independent in their homes and enhancing their overall quality of life.
Take Daphne, for example; she recently shared her thoughts about one of our team members:
"Thank you for sending your lovely assistant here. He has done such a fantastic job, and we are so happy. I haven't been able to invite friends to the house, but I think I could invite the king of England here now; it is so clean. Thank you very much for sending him."
This is the reason we do what we do, and it's individuals like you who can make this significant difference!
The Role:
- You will work independently, visiting the clients in their homes.
- Supporting people to maintain their independence. This may include tasks such as: housekeeping duties, personal care assistance, social support, capacity building tasks and more.
- You will have the opportunity to build rapport and create meaningful relationships.
Requirements for the Role:
- Minimum Certificate III in the industry
- Working with Children Check
- Current Driver's license and own vehicle required
Community Accessability is committed to Equal Employment Opportunity, Ethical Practice, and the principles of Cultural Diversity and Social Inclusion. Applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders are encouraged. All appointments are made subject to a satisfactory Criminal Record Check and a Working with Children Check.
