The Assistant Director of the Advisory Services team is a senior operational leadership role responsible for driving effective regulatory operations and organisational outcomes across the Workforce Inspectorate. The position provides strategic operational leadership, drawing on a strong understanding of regulatory best practice, policies, processes and practices to ensure operational priorities are delivered effectively.
The role works closely with senior leadership across the Workforce Inspectorate to coordinate and deliver cross-organisational operational outcomes aligned with strategic priorities. The Assistant Director provides leadership and direction to ensure regulatory operations are efficient, consistent and focused on achieving high-quality service and organisational outcomes.
As an experienced people leader, the Assistant Director is responsible for building and maintaining high-performing teams and fostering a culture of excellence and best-practice service delivery within a regulatory environment. The role may also undertake responsibilities across other areas of the Workforce Inspectorate’s broader regulatory functions as required.
- Strategic Leadership: Translating strategy into team workplans to achieve key outcomes.
- Operational Excellence: Proactively managing operational risks and ensuring best practice regulatory policies and processes.
- Collaborative Success: Working closely with senior leadership to achieve cross-organisational goals.
- Team Empowerment: Shaping and leading high-performance teams to deliver exceptional service in a regulatory environment.
- Proven experience in a senior client services and/or licensing schemes leadership role within a regulatory environment.
- Deep understanding of regulatory best practices and operational policies.
- Exceptional ability to translate strategy into actionable plans.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and managing high-performance teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
