About the role:
In this key role, you will help plan and develop a diverse rangeof infrastructure projects - from roads, paths and drainagenetworks to coastal infrastructure, car parks, bridges and publictransport facilities.
What you’ll be doing:
- Investigating and refining project scope requirements,developing project documentation and cost estimates.
- Managing consultants undertaking studies andinvestigations.
- Supporting grant funding applications and project businesscases.
- Coordinating stakeholder consultation and engagementactivities.
- Assisting with statutory approvals and agencyclearances.
- Contributing to the City's Capital Works Program and annualbudgeting processes.
- Responding to infrastructure-related customerenquiries.
- Collaborating with the design and survey team on requiredworks.
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Qualifications or subsequent experience in civilengineering, project management, or a related discipline.
- Experience in municipal engineering, asset planning orproject management.
- Knowledge of roads, footpaths, drainage networks and publicinfrastructure assets.
- Sound understanding of workplace health and safetyrequirements.
- Desirable but not essential - Experience using a range ofsoftware such as AutoCAD, MicroStation ,QGIS .
Pre-employment Requirements:
- Current C Class Driver’s Licence
- Construction Awareness White Card
- National Police Clearance
- Right to work in Australia
