About Optiform
Optiform is an established multidisciplinary Allied Health practice based in Ballarat, providing evidence-based assessment, support and intervention to individuals and families across Ballarat and wider Victoria. Our experienced clinical team includes Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Behaviour Support Practitioners and Allied Health Practitioners who work collaboratively to support people across the lifespan.

About the Speech Pathology Role
The Graduate / Early Career Speech Pathologist is responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based speech pathology services to a mixed caseload under structured supervision.
This role forms part of Optiform’s Graduate / Early Career Training Program and is designed to support the development of confident, capable and ethical clinicians.
The Speech Pathologist is responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based speech pathology assessment and intervention services to a mixed caseload of clients across the lifespan.
This includes assessment and treatment of children, adolescents and adults with a range of difficulties including Voice Disorders, Acquired Brain Injury, Stuttering, Early Intervention, Language Disorders, Articulation and Phonology, Literacy Learning, Dysphagia and Swallowing.
The role contributes to Optiform’s reputation for clinical excellence, client-centred care and cooperative practice.
This role supports high standards of clinical governance, participating in continuous improvement across service delivery, including engaging in a chosen Portfolio in your second 6 months.
The Speech Pathologist works closely with Directors, Clinical Leads and the Practice Manager to support quality outcomes for clients and the sustainability of the practice.
This position may be tailored to suit early career, experienced or senior clinicians and operates within Optiform’s clinical governance and supervision framework.

Desirable
Experience with a varied caseload through placements or prior employment
Experience across paediatric and/or adult practice areas
Job Responsibility :
Clinical Practice & Service Delivery
Provide evidence-based assessment, intervention and therapy services across a mixed caseload
Deliver services in clinic, community, school, home and telehealth environments
Apply sound clinical reasoning and maintain client safety and quality standards
Monitor client progress and adjust intervention plans accordingly
Maintain accurate, timely and compliant clinical documentation and reports
Client Experience & Communication
Communicate respectfully, clearly and collaboratively with clients, families and stakeholders
Provide timely updates, reports and follow-up communication
Deliver services using client-centred, trauma-informed and neuroaffirming practice principles
Build positive therapeutic relationships that support meaningful outcomes

Administration & Operational Responsibilities
Complete clinical notes within required timeframes
Complete assessment reports within agreed deadlines
Accurately use Optiform systems and platforms (including Splose, Teams, Outlook and Trello)
Manage appointments, scheduling and client communication effectively
Meet or work towards agreed billable service targets appropriate to experience level
Contribution to the Business
Work towards meeting billable service KPIs in line with training stage
After the initial six months, contribute to an Optiform portfolio (e.g. group programs, school programs, internal PD or community engagement), subject to application and approval
Participate in service improvement initiatives and organisational projects as appropriate
