About the Role

SRH Milk Haulage is looking for an experienced and organised team member to join our Poowong team to supervise our milk transfer operations and coordinate our Victorian linehaul activities.

This is a key role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Poowong factory, while also coordinating and allocating SRH’s linehaul fleet to ensure milk movements are completed safely, efficiently and on time.

The role will suit someone who enjoys a busy operational environment, is confident dealing with all stakeholders and can make quick lateral decisions to adjust quickly and maintain necessary services.

Key Responsibilities

Factory Operations

- Oversee the day-to-day operations at the Poowong factory.

- Coordinate tanker movements in and out of the factory.

- Provide operational support to factory staff

- Perform factory operator duties when and as required to maintain

- Ensure self and terminal staff work safely, efficiently and responsibly to provide uninterrupted factory operations.

- Oversee SRH and contract drivers adhere to company and customer site procedures.

- Monitor milk receivals, collections and deliveries.

- Ensure required paperwork, dockets and data records are completed correctly.

- Monitor milk temperatures, sampling and other quality requirements.

- Liaise with terminal staff regarding tanker movements and operational issues.

- Identify and report any issues, delays, contamination risks or non-conformances.

- Assist with investigations and corrective actions when required.

Linehaul Allocation

- Plan and allocate daily linehaul runs.





- Coordinate drivers, tankers and available equipment.

- Ensure the right equipment is allocated to the right run.

- Monitor the progress of linehaul movements throughout the day.

- Manage changes to runs, breakdowns, delays and driver availability.

- Communicate changes clearly to drivers and operations.

- Work closely with the wider SRH operations team to balance fleet requirements.

- Ensure linehaul movements are completed within customer and regulatory requirements.

People & Communication

- Be a key point of contact for Poowong drivers.

- Provide direction and support to drivers throughout the shift.

- Communicate effectively with SRH management, customers and factory personnel.

- Help ensure drivers understand site requirements and operational changes.

- Support a positive safety and workplace culture.

- Escalate issues to management when required.

Safety & Compliance

- Ensure SRH safety, fatigue and operational procedures are followed.

- Monitor compliance to relevant Chain of Responsibility requirements.

- Report incidents, hazards and near misses.

- Ensure drivers complete required checks and documentation.

- Support SRH's food safety and quality requirements.





- Participate in toolbox meetings, audits and investigations.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

- Has experience in transport, logistics, dairy or a similar operational workplace.

- Has strong organisational and communication skills.

- Can confidently coordinate multiple tasks at once.

- Is comfortable making decisions in a fast-moving environment.

- Has good computer and systems skills.

- Can build good relationships with drivers and customers.

- Understands the importance of safety, compliance and food safety.

- Is reliable, practical and willing to get involved.

- Can work independently while being part of the wider SRH team.

Experience in milk transport, tanker operations or linehaul allocation would be highly regarded.
