The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission is the national regulator of Australian Government-funded aged care services.
We protect and enhance the safety, health, wellbeing, and quality of life of people receiving aged care. This includes managing complaints and feedback about the care older people receive.
We help build confidence and trust in aged care, by promoting best practice and a culture of safety and quality in the sector. We register providers and hold them to account if they don’t meet expected standards of care.
About the Team
The Scrum Master facilitates and supports Agile delivery practices across digital initiatives within the Commission. The role is responsible for promoting Scrum principles, enabling high-performing and self-managing teams, removing delivery impediments, and ensuring Agile practices are consistently applied.
The Scrum Master works closely with Product Owners, delivery teams, and stakeholders to improve team effectiveness, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and support the successful delivery of high-quality digital products and services aligned with the Commission's strategic objectives.
The key duties of the position include:
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Identify, manage, and remove impediments impacting team performance and delivery outcomes.
- Monitor team performance and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives through regular retrospective activities.
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to ensure transparency of delivery progress and risks
- Contribute to delivery governance activities and the preparation of reporting for leadership stakeholders.
Eligibility
- Demonstrated knowledge of Agile delivery principles,
Scrum framework, and contemporary delivery practices.
- Proven ability to facilitate Agile ceremonies and team workshops to achieve delivery outcomes.
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills with the ability to build Agile maturity across teams.
- Ability to identify delivery risks, resolve impediments, and facilitate conflict resolution effectively.
- Builds strong and cooperative relationships with stakeholders across business and technology areas
- Communicates complex delivery concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Applies servant leadership principles to empower teams and drive high performance
- Demonstrates adaptability and responsiveness in dynamic and evolving delivery environments.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with a focus on achieving business outcomes
- Commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement, learning, and innovation
Notes
- Salary offered will be between $99,784 - $112,571 per annum depending on skills and experience. In addition, 15.4% superannuation will be paid.

- Non-ongoing opportunity will be offered for an irregular/intermittent term.
Opportunities will be offered for varying periods up to 12 months with the option to extend to a total of 24 months.
