Our client is a mid-tier firm with a busy disputes practice, and they have a seat for a litigator at 2 to 8 PAE who wants to be trusted with their own files. Expect strong matters, partners who mentor, and a team small enough for good work to be seen. The role is based on the Gold Coast or in Brisbane.

About the role!

Your caseload spans Queensland and Federal jurisdictions: commercial disputes, property and strata matters, building and construction disputes, debt recovery, insolvency-related litigation and insurance claims work.
- Run files end to end, or close to it, from pleadings and evidence through to submissions and settlement




- Appear at mediations, settlement conferences and QCAT hearings, so you build advocacy experience first-hand
- Shape strategy and advise on alternative dispute resolution instead of only following instructions
- Take on regulatory disputes that come with the construction and property work

What you'll bring!

- 2 to 8 years' PAE in litigation, with a solid grasp of court practice and procedure
- Admitted in Queensland, or eligible through mutual recognition, with a current practising certificate
- Confidence running a file with minimal oversight, strong drafting and close attention to detail
- A client-first approach and the commercial judgement to know when to push a matter and when to settle it
- Prior exposure to commercial, property or construction disputes is highly regarded
