As a Student Software Engineer, you will contribute to the design, development, and verification of embedded software for innovative medical devices. You'll work alongside experienced engineers to solve complex technical challenges while delivering high-quality, reliable software that directly impacts patient outcomes worldwide. This role is ideal for an early career software engineer who enjoys working with embedded systems, values software quality, and wants to gain technical experience in a highly regulated and purpose-driven industry. What You'll Do

Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software applications Implement automated and manual verification activities to ensure software meets functional and performance requirements Participate in software architecture, design reviews, and technical discussions Document software designs, implementation decisions, and test outcomes Contribute to the delivery of quality software within project timelines Troubleshoot, analyse, and resolve software defects and customer-reported issues Collaborate effectively with software, hardware, systems,

Technical Skills

Experience in

C++ and/or Python

for application and test software development Experience working within

Agile development environments Familiarity with source control and collaboration tools such as

GitHub, Bitbucket, Jira, and Confluence Strong software design, code review, debugging, and testing skills Ability to identify technical gaps, evaluate options, and collaborate on solutions Commitment to developing reliable, maintainable, and high-quality software Professional Skills

Currently undertaking a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. Must be in final or penultimate year of study. Preferred Qualifications

Experience with

Embedded C/C++

and object-oriented programming Exposure to developing software for embedded or real-time systems Experience with

Test-Driven Development (TDD)

and automated testing methodologies Exposure to CI/CD tools such as
