Machinery Sales Person
to join a supplier of quality Processing and Packaging machinery.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident sales professional who enjoys working with customers, understanding their operational requirements and providing machinery solutions that deliver genuine value.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience selling
industrial, production or packaging machinery
, or at least a strong understanding of long cycle capital equipment sales.
About the Role
In this position, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will work closely with customers to understand their requirements, recommend machinery and equipment solutions, prepare quotations and manage the sales process from initial enquiry through to final installation.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
Identify and pursue new sales opportunities and potential markets.
Create an industry network and market your companies innovations and successes.
Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate solutions
Prepare quotations, proposals and sales presentations
Conduct product demonstrations and customer visits
Negotiate pricing and commercial terms within company guidelines
Work closely with internal teams and OEM suppliers.
Attend trade shows and keep up to date with machinery, products, industry developments and competitor activity

Suitability for the role
We are looking for someone who is:
Experienced in machinery, equipment or technical sales
A confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
Customer-focused and commercially minded
Proactive and motivated to identify and develop new business
Comfortable discussing technical products and solutions with business owners and / or senior management
Strong relationship management and negotiation skills
You are willing to travel both locally and interstate, when required.
About You
Whist industry experience is ideal, the main qualifier from a personal perspective is your enthusiasm, motivation and drive. Consequently candidates with a strong technical or tertiary background who are looking to break into capital equipment sales are also robust encoutaged to apply.
