Boilermaker/Welder Fabricator
to join their team on an immediate-start basis, with the potential to transition into a
full-time permanent position
.
This is a excellent opportunity for a tradesperson who enjoys
production fabrication, accurate fit-up and welding
, and takes pride in producing quality work in a clean and well-managed workshop.
The Role
Working with
pre-CNC-machined and roll-formed panels
, you'll be responsible for assembling components using welding jigs and producing quality welded assemblies.
The panels and components are
clearly numbered for easy identification and assembly
, allowing you to focus on accurate fit-up, tacking and welding.
Your duties will include:
Working with
3mm-5mm steel
Using welding jigs to accurately position and assemble components
Fitting and tacking pre-cut and roll-formed panels
MIG and Stick welding sheet metal components
Following numbered components and assembly requirements
Checking fit-up, alignment and finished weld quality
Reading and working from fabrication drawings where required
Maintaining a high standard of workmanship
Keeping your work area clean, organised and safe
Working collaboratively with the production team to meet quality and production requirements
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
Has previous experience as a
Boilermaker, Welder or Fabricator
Is confident with
MIG welding
and ideally Stick welding
Has experience working with
mild steel and sheet metal
Can work accurately with
3mm-5mm material
Understands the importance of accurate fit-up and quality welds
Can follow drawings, measurements and assembly instructions
Takes pride in their workmanship and attention to detail
Is reliable, hardworking and enjoys being part of a good team
Has a strong commitment to workplace

$46 per hour
Monday to Thursday: 6:00am - 2:30pm
Friday: Early finish at 12:30pm
