Business Development Manager - Melbourne
You will be responsible for growing Track Magic's presence across Melbourne and Victoria, working directly with interior designers, architects, decorators, curtain manufacturers and other industry professionals.
This is a genuine business development role where you will identify new opportunities, build relationships with potential customers and turn those relationships into ongoing business, while continuing to look after and grow the existing customer base.
You will have the autonomy to manage your territory and customer relationships, with a strong focus on regular face-to-face contact.
Key responsibilities
Developing new business opportunities across Melbourne and Victoria
Managing, retaining and growing existing customer accounts
Regularly visiting interior designers, architects, decorators, curtain manufacturers and other industry professionals
Building relationships with key decision-makers and identifying new opportunities
Introducing customers to Track Magic's drapery hardware range and identifying suitable solutions for their projects
Following up enquiries, quotations and opportunities through to conversion
Identifying opportunities to increase sales within existing accounts
Developing and maintaining an active sales pipeline
Keeping up to date with customer requirements, market trends and competitor activity




Providing professional product advice and a high level of customer service
About you
Previous experience in the curtain/window furnishing industry — essential
Proven experience in business development, territory sales or account management
An established network of contacts within the window furnishing, interiors or design industry will be highly regarded
A demonstrated ability to develop new business and convert opportunities into sales
Strong relationship-building and communication skills
A professional and confident approach when meeting customers
Excellent organisation, follow-up and time-management skills
The ability to work autonomously and manage your own territory
A proactive approach to finding and developing current opportunities
