Complete Staff Solutions is seeking an experienced
Cleansing Services Supervisor
to provide operational coverage for a busy Local Government cleansing team based in
Chatswood
.
This is a hands‐on supervisory role working across
afternoon/evening shifts Wednesday to Friday
, with
daytime operations and event coverage on weekends
.
The successful candidate will lead frontline operational staff, coordinate daily cleansing activities and ensure services are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
Supervising the day-to-day operation of street cleansing services.
Leading, directing and supporting frontline operational staff.
Coordinating labour, plant and materials to meet daily operational requirements.
Managing staff rostering and allocating work to ensure effective service coverage.
Monitoring staff and contractor performance and service standards.
Conducting operational checks and ensuring WHS procedures are followed.
Responding to operational issues and incidents as they arise.
Liaising with residents, businesses, members of the public and internal stakeholders.
Approving timesheets and maintaining daily work records and pre-start documentation.
Supporting weekend operations, events and other operational requirements.
Identifying opportunities to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
Hours
The proposed roster is primarily
Wednesday to Sunday
:
Wednesday–Friday:




approximately 12:00pm–8:30pm
Saturday–Sunday:
daytime operations and event coverage, potentially within a similar span
Please note that shift times are indicative and may vary depending on operational and event requirements.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
Previous experience supervising
frontline operational teams
.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate, motivate and support staff.
Experience managing daily workloads, rosters and operational priorities.
A strong commitment to
WHS and safe work practices
.
Positive communication, organisation and conflict-management skills.
Confidence dealing with staff, contractors and members of the public.
Reasonable computer skills and the ability to maintain operational records.
A good level of physical fitness.
Current Class C Driver Licence – essential.
Availability to work the required
Wednesday–Sunday roster
.
Experience within
Local Government, waste, cleansing, civil, parks, facilities or another similar operational environment
would be highly regarded.
An
MR licence, heavy plant tickets and/or experience with street sweepers, scrubbers or vacuum cleansing equipment
would also be advantageous.
