We're looking for an enthusiastic and experienced
Café Manager
to join our team and take the lead in the day-to-day operation of our café within a busy restaurant environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being on the floor, leading a team, building a positive workplace culture and making sure every customer walks away having had a great experience.
About the Role
As Café Manager, you'll be responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the café, working closely with the broader restaurant management team.
You'll be responsible for:
Leading, motivating and developing the café team
Providing exceptional customer service and setting the standard for the team
Managing staff rosters, breaks and daily staffing requirements
Training and onboarding new team members
Ensuring coffee, standards are consistently maintained
Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering and stock control
Maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness and hygiene
Managing customer enquiries and resolving issues professionally
Ensuring venue policies, procedures and food safety requirements are followed
Working closely with kitchen and restaurant management to ensure smooth service
Opening and/or closing the venue as required
Supporting the wider management team with the successful operation of the venue
About You
We're looking for someone who is confident, energetic and enjoys leading from the front.
You'll ideally have:
Previous experience in a Café Manager, Restaurant Manager, Supervisor or similar hospitality leadership role
Experience with making coffees and other café beverages
Strong knowledge of café and restaurant operations
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Experience leading and developing a team
Strong organisational and time-management skills
The ability to remain calm and make good decisions during busy service periods
A positive, hands-on approach to management
The ability to work independently as well as part of a broader management team
Availability to work a flexible hospitality roster, operating Wednesday to Sunday.
