About the Role
This is far more than a standalone payroll role , you'll be the go‐to payroll and HRIS expert for the Australian business, with true end‐to‐end ownership of the payroll process and hands‐on responsibility for the Success Factors HRIS platform across the wider APAC region. You'll work closely with senior leaders and the broader HR team, playing a genuinely valued role in a business that's investing in modernising its systems and processes meaning real opportunities to shape how things are done, not just maintain the status quo.
What You'll Be Doing
Managing payroll end-to-end for the Australian business, with full ownership of accuracy and timeliness across every pay run
Acting as the HRIS administrator for the APAC region, managing onboarding, position changes, wage changes and terminations within Success Factors
Providing hands‐on HRIS troubleshooting support to employees, managers and the wider HR team
Interpreting Enterprise Agreement and Award provisions as they relate to pay and benefits
Leading or contributing to exciting HRIS and payroll projects, including system upgrades and transformation initiatives
Producing accurate, insightful HR reporting on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis
Conducting audits and ensuring ongoing compliance with internal policy and external regulation
Building strong, collaborative relationships across the business, IT, and the Global HRIS team
Developing training and resources to help the wider team get the most out of the HRIS system

What You'll Bring
Demonstrated experience managing standalone payroll functions
Strong working knowledge of Award, Enterprise Agreement and Industrial Instrument interpretation
Essential experience with SAP and Workday
Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to engage across all levels of the business
High attention to detail, with a genuine commitment to accuracy and confidentiality
Nice to Have
A relevant qualification in Payroll, Accounting, Finance, HR or Business
Australian Payroll Association certification (or similar)
Experience with payroll tax, workers' compensation and audit processes
Exposure to system implementations or payroll transformation projects
Advanced Excel skills
Experience supporting multiple entities or complex workforce arrangements
