Job Description
Part time (0.4 FTE), 12 month fixed term with potential to extend
Thursday onsite and one work from home day (Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday)
Based in Ringwood, on the lands of the Wurundjeri People

An exciting opportunity exists for aResearch & Practice Development Officerto supportresearch, evaluation, quality improvement and service development initiativeswithinReconnexion, a specialist service supporting individuals experiencing benzodiazepine dependency and the professionals who work with them.
Reconnexionis a government-funded service that for 40 years has provided support to individuals with benzodiazepine dependency as well as their treating professionals.
The Research & Practice Development Officer supports Reconnexion's commitment toevidence-informed practiceby monitoring emerging research and translating knowledge into practical resources, recommendations and service improvements.
The role helps ensure programs, resources and service delivery reflect contemporary evidence and sector developments, while supportingresearch, partnership and innovation opportunitiesthat strengthen service quality and community outcomes.
In this varied role, you will work closely withinternal teams and external stakeholderstotranslate evidence into practice, contribute toinnovative projects, supportcontinuous improvement activities, and help strengthenservice qualitythrough research and evaluation.
About the Role
TheResearch & Practice Development Officerplays a key role in supportingevidence-informed practiceacross our service.
You will contribute toresearch activities, program evaluation, data analysis, resource development and reporting, ensuringemerging evidence and best practice principlesare embedded into Reconnexion's service delivery.
This position is suited to someone who enjoys working collaboratively, hasstrong analytical and communication skills, and is passionate about using research to informmeaningful improvements in practice and client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and reviewrelevant research, evidence and sector developments.
Translate research findingsinto practical resources, recommendations and tools.
Supportprogram evaluation, quality improvement and service development initiatives.
Collect, analyse and interpret datato inform decision-making and reporting.
Preparereports, presentations and other documentationfor a range of audiences.
Buildeffective relationshipswith stakeholders, sector partners and qualified networks.
Contribute toknowledge-sharing activitiesand the promotion of evidence-informed practice.
Support projects that enhanceservice quality, innovation and client outcomes.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
Experience inresearch, evaluation, quality improvement, project work or practice development.
Stronganalytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
Experience developingreports, presentations, resources or educational materials.
Strongstakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
The ability tomanage competing prioritiesand work both independently and collaboratively.
Proficiency inMicrosoft Office and data analysis or reporting systems.
What will make you stand out
Knowledge of the health, alcohol and other drugs (AOD) and/or mental health sectors.
Health related research experience
Understanding of Benzodiazepine dependence
