Reporting to the Production Manager, theMachinistis responsible for performing CNC and manual machining operations to produce components to required specifications, quality standards and production timeframes.
Key responsibilities
Operating CNC double head milling machines
Performing manual milling and machining operations as required
Setting up machines, tooling and components for machining operations
Proofing new programs
Completing precision mechanical measurements to ensure dimensional accuracy
Interpreting technical drawings for component specifications
Identifying and resolving machining issues relating to machine setup, tooling and programs
Performing routine operational maintenance and following all safety and quality procedures
About You
Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade
Previous experience in CNC and manual machining
CNC programming experience will be highly regarded
Ability to interpret engineering and technical drawings
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
Valuable mathematical and precision measurement skills
Good communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude
Willingness to complete a Pre-Employment Medical,



including Drug & Alcohol testing
