About the Role
Reporting to the Team Leader Clinical Coding, you will accurately code patient admissions and help maintain the quality and integrity of Icon's health information.
Reviewing medical records and identifying diagnoses, procedures and treatments
Coding with ICD-10-AM and ACHI 13th Edition
Undertaking AR-DRG grouping activities
Completing Cancer Registry notifications
Clarifying incomplete or inconsistent clinical documentation
Supporting coding quality reviews and process improvements
Collaborating with clinicians and Health Information Services colleagues
Maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy
About You
You are an experienced Clinical Coder who takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.
You are comfortable working independently while contributing to a connected and collaborative team.
You will bring:
A formal qualification in Clinical Coding
At least three years of clinical coding experience




Experience using ICD-10-AM and ACHI 13th Edition
A strong understanding of AR-DRGs and medical terminology
Excellent accuracy, analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong organisation and communication skills
Confidence using healthcare information systems
Private hospital, oncology or haematology coding experience will be highly regarded.
A tertiary qualification in Health Information Management and eligibility for HIMAA membership are desirable but not essential.
