Are You the Right Fit?
We're looking for an experienced and motivated Social Worker who is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care within a multidisciplinary health environment.
Hold a recognised Social Work degree that provides eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), along with extensive postgraduate experience working in women and child health, including providing psychosocial care and interventions to women and children with complex psychosocial needs and identified safety concerns.
Demonstrate experience in the provision of clinical supervision and expertadvice/consultationto a social work service.
Demonstrate experience in prioritising a challenging and demanding workload, managing stressful situations, and applying advanced reasoning skills and independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a novel or critical nature.
Demonstrate experience in planning, implementing,
and evaluating quality improvement activities involving the application of evidence-based practice within social work.
Have strong communication and organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise workload, manage challenging or high-pressure situations, and work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Be willing to participate in an on-call roster.
Selection Criteria To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.
A Social Work degree which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
Please describe your post-graduate experience working as a Social Worker in woman and child health, including your experience supporting women and children experiencing illness, trauma or high risk pregnancies and assessing and providing interventions when safety concerns are identified
Please provide an example of your experience providing clinical supervision and expert advice or consultation to social workers, including how you support high-quality and evidence-based practice.
Please describe a situation where you managed a challenging or high-pressure workload involving complex or critical circumstances.
How did you prioritise competing demands, apply advanced professional judgement, communicate effectively, and work independently and/or collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team?
Please provide an example of a quality improvement initiative you have planned, implemented and/or evaluated within social work.
How did you apply evidence-based practice, contribute to improved outcomes, and evaluate the effectiveness of the initiative?
