With a growing pipeline of opportunities and continued investment in the energy transition sector, they are seeking an experienced Bid Manager to lead the pursuit and delivery of major EPC tenders across transmission, substations and renewable energy infrastructure.The OpportunityThis is a pivotal role within a growing business where you'll be responsible for leading complex tenders from opportunity identification through to contract award and handover.
You'll act as the central point of coordination between clients, internal teams, suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring all technical, commercial and delivery requirements are accurately captured and incorporated into winning submissions.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the bid process from opportunity qualification through to submission and contract awardDevelop and manage winning tender strategies aligned with client requirements and business objectivesReview and interpret RFP documentation, technical specifications, drawings and contract documentationDefine project scope, identify scope boundaries and develop explicit divisions of responsibility across project stakeholdersCoordinate and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations for major equipment packages and project delivery servicesDevelop detailed cost estimates for high-voltage substations, switchyards,



transmission infrastructure and associated electrical worksBuild project delivery programmes and tender schedules aligned to client requirements and project constraintsIdentify and assess commercial risks, technical challenges and value engineering opportunities throughout the tender phaseMaintain estimating databases and pricing models using current market intelligence and supplier pricingLead tender review meetings and ensure successful projects are seamlessly transitioned to delivery teamsAbout YouWe are keen to speak with experienced Bid Managers, Estimators or Project Engineers who have a strong track record delivering successful tenders within the power, utilities or high-voltage infrastructure sectors.Experience leading complex bids for substations, transmission or major electrical infrastructure projectsPrevious exposure working for an EPC contractor within utilities, power or renewable energy marketsStrong estimating capability with the ability to build detailed and accurate project cost modelsSound understanding of high-voltage infrastructure, including substations, switchgear, protection systems, transmission assets and associated civil worksThe ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings and contractual documentationStrong stakeholder management skills with experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors and suppliersTertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experienceExcellent commercial acumen, analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilityWhat's on OfferThis is an excellent opportunity to join a growing specialist contractor operating within one of Australia's most active infrastructure sectors.
