We are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator Welder to join the team at Actiwork.
This is a full-time position based in Singleton, NSW ****.
In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating and welding sheet metal components to precise specifications, playing a vital part in our manufacturing operations.
This position offers the opportunity to work with modern equipment and contribute to the production of high-quality industrial products that serve our diverse client base.
Key responsibilities
Fabricate sheet metal components using various cutting and forming techniques
Operate welding equipment to join metal components with precision and consistency
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication
Measure and mark materials according to job requirements using appropriate measuring tools
Perform quality checks on fabricated and welded components to meet industry standards
Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition and report any maintenance issues
Follow all health and safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow and project completion
Document work completed and maintain accurate records of fabrication activities
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Fabricator Welder or in a similar fabrication role
Competency in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG and stick welding
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications




Experience operating sheet metal equipment such as shears, press brakes and hydraulic equipment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Relevant welding certifications or trade qualifications
Sound understanding of health and safety requirements in manufacturing environments
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Physical capability to lift heavy materials and work in a fast-paced industrial environment
Preferred: Experience with CAD software or computerised fabrication systems
