Working in partnership with leading medical oncologists, researchers, pharmaceutical sponsors and cooperative research groups, the unit delivers cutting‐edge clinical trials that provide patients with access to emerging therapies and contribute to the future of cancer care.About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Oncology Clinical Trial Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership across our Oncology Trials Unit.
This senior leadership position offers the opportunity to oversee a diverse portfolio of investigator‐initiated and industry‐sponsored clinical trials, while supporting and developing a passionate multidisciplinary team.
You will play a key role in driving research excellence, developing strategic partnerships and ensuring the successful delivery of high‐quality clinical trials for patients, researchers and stakeholders.
You will be responsible for the operational, financial and regulatory oversight of the Oncology Trials Unit, with a focus on sustainability, compliance, growth and the identification of new research opportunities.Classification: JB13 ($118,****** per annum, pro rata for part time).
Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Operations Provide strategic and operational leadership across the Oncology Trials UnitLead the planning, development,
implementation and management of new and ongoing clinical trialsOversee a diverse portfolio of early‐phase, investigator‐led and industry‐sponsored researchSupport and lead a multidisciplinary team to achieve high‐quality research outcomesDrive continuous improvement, research excellence and best‐practice clinical trial deliveryResearch & Partnerships Identify and secure new research opportunities through feasibility assessments and strategic stakeholder engagementDevelop and maintain strong relationships with medical oncologists, researchers, pharmaceutical sponsors and cooperative research groupsAct as the primary contact for clinical trial matters across internal and external stakeholdersContribute to creative research that has the potential to influence future standards of cancer treatmentFinancial & Regulatory Oversight Provide financial oversight of the clinical trials portfolio, supporting the sustainability and growth of the unitEnsure clinical trials are conducted in accordance with relevant regulatory, ethical and Good Clinical Practice requirementsMaintain strong governance and compliance across research activitiesIdentify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and trial performanceAbout YouDemonstrated leadership experience within a clinical trials environmentStrong understanding of oncology research, clinical trial processes and regulatory requirementsExperience in oncology, haematology or another relevant health‐related clinical trial environmentDemonstrated experience coordinating and managing clinical trials within a hospital settingStrong stakeholder management and relationship‐building skillsExperience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary teamExcellent organisational, communication and problem‐solving skillsAbility to manage competing priorities and deliver high‐quality outcomesCompletion of Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
