DNA Recruitment is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter for our client, a leading Australian resource recovery and recycling organisation based in Bridgewater, TAS.This is a hands-on role maintaining heavy industrial processing equipment, with a strong focus on preventative maintenance, breakdowns, fault finding and plant reliability.HoursDay Shift: 7:30am - 3:30pmAfternoon Shift: 1:00pm - 9:00pmMonday to FridayMust be adaptable to work across both shifts and assist with after-hours breakdowns when requiredWhat You'll Be DoingPreventative and scheduled plant maintenanceMechanical fault finding and breakdown repairsMaintain shredders, crushers, conveyors and recycling equipmentFitting, fabrication and welding workAssist with shutdowns and major maintenanceIdentify potential equipment failures before breakdowns occurWork with production teams to minimise downtimeMaintain high safety and housekeeping standardsWhat We're Looking ForTrade-qualified Mechanical Fitter / Fitter & Turner or equivalentStrong industrial plant maintenance experienceExperience with shredding machines,



crushing equipment and/or recycling processing machineryStrong mechanical fault-finding and breakdown maintenance skillsHR Truck LicenceRelevant welding tickets/qualificationsAbility to read technical and engineering drawingsStrong understanding of safe work practices and equipment isolationReliable, practical and solutions-focusedFlexible to work both shifts and after-hours when requiredExperience within recycling, waste processing, quarrying, crushing, mining-related processing, timber processing, heavy manufacturing or similar industrial environments will be highly regarded.Electrical disconnect/reconnect licence is advantageous but not essential.Pre-Employment RequirementsSuccessful candidates must be able to complete:Drug & alcohol screeningPre-employment medicalNational Police CheckWhy Apply?
