We're looking for someone who can turn opportunity intoinvestment, partnerships and tangible outcomes for our City.
As StrategicPartnerships & Investment Lead, you'll connect Burwood's ambitions with theorganisations, investors and partners that can help make them happen.
Workingacross Council, you'll identify opportunities for investment, sponsorship andcollaboration, develop compelling propositions and take them to the rightpeople.
This is a rolefor someone who can open doors and turn opportunities into outcomes.
You'llbuild senior relationships, negotiate mutually beneficial outcomes and developa strong pipeline of partnerships and investment across Council's priorities,from placemaking and infrastructure to events, culture and communityinitiatives.
The Strategic Partnerships & Investment Lead will:
Connect– Build high-value relationshipsacross government, industry, institutions and the private sector thatcreate new opportunities for Burwood.
Position– Understand Council's prioritiesand turn them into compelling propositions that demonstrate the value ofpartnering with Burwood.
Invest– Proactively identify and progressinvestment opportunities, building a strong pipeline of prospectiveinvestors and partners aligned with Burwood's priorities.
Partner– Develop strategic partnerships,sponsorships and commercial collaborations that bring additionalresources, expertise and value to the City.
Convert –Take opportunities beyond theinitial conversation, navigating Council and external organisations toturn relationships and ideas into agreements, investment and tangibleoutcomes.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in economicdevelopment, urban planning, business, marketing, place management or arelated discipline.
Proven experience developing strategicpartnerships, investment opportunities, sponsorships or commercialcollaborations and taking them from initial opportunity through totangible outcomes.
A robust ability to build trusted relationships ata senior level, with confidence engaging across government, industry,institutions, business and the private sector.
Strong commercial acumen and the ability toidentify mutual value, understand what motivates prospective partners anddevelop compelling propositions around it.
Experience developing business cases, investmentpropositions, partnership proposals and supporting documentation,including agreements and MOUs.
The ability to build and actively manage a pipelineof prospective investors and partners, prioritising opportunities andmaintaining momentum from initial engagement through to delivery.
Strong negotiation, influencing and communicationskills, with the confidence to represent Burwood and advocate forCouncil's priorities in external discussions.
The ability to understand different prioritiesacross Council and connect opportunities across teams,
bringing togetherthe right internal expertise to develop and deliver successfulpartnerships.
Strong analytical capability, including the abilityto articulate value, outcomes and return on investment, and use researchand data to support sound recommendations.
Must hold a NSW Class C Drivers Licence and bewilling to undertake a National Police Check.
