The successful applicant will be responsible for general maintenance of buildings, equipment and grounds.
This is a casual, project-based position and is not a full-time role.Key responsibilitiesUndertake maintenance jobs, including those requiring carpentry skillsTake on project work requiring the ability to work autonomouslyRespond to maintenance requests with a sense of urgencyMaintain and repair equipment and grounds in a secure working environmentUndertake routine maintenance works under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor when requiredPerform other maintenance duties and tasks not limited to those listed aboveAbout youUnderstanding of corrective and preventive maintenance programsUnderstanding of chemical handling and storageKnowledge of how to safely use and store gases and flammable productsWillingness to learn and be taught on the jobWilling and helpful attitudeAbility to work as part of a team and deal kindly and positively with a wide range of people in day-to-day working conditions, particularly within an elderly resident environmentCommitment to delivering high-quality workPositive approach and willingness to learnGood level of physical fitnessTrade certificate ideal.
