Help us give every child the Best Start in Life.We're seeking a reliable and organised Kitchen Hand to support the daily operation of the kitchen at Busy Bees at Tamworth.
Working alongside the centre's Cook or Chef, you will help maintain a clean, safe and well‐organised kitchen while supporting the preparation and delivery of nutritious meals for children aged from birth to five years.This is a permanent part‐time position working 15 hours per week, based in Tamworth, NSW.What you'll doAssist with basic food preparation and the serving of meals and snacksWash dishes, utensils and kitchen equipmentMaintain a clean, hygienic and organised kitchen environmentSupport the Cook or Chef with food storage, stock rotation and kitchen organisationFollow safe food handling,
allergy management and hygiene proceduresAssist with receiving and storing kitchen suppliesWork collaboratively with the Centre Leadership Team and educatorsFollow all centre policies relating to child safety, food safety and workplace health and safetyWhat you'll bringA genuine commitment to child safety, speaking up, always doing the right thing and aligning with our Busy Bees valuesPrevious experience working in a kitchen, hospitality, catering or food service environmentKnowledge of safe food handling, kitchen hygiene and cleaning practicesAn understanding of allergies, dietary requirements and cross‐contamination risksStrong organisation and time‐management skillsA reliable, positive and collaborative approachThe ability to complete the physical requirements of the role, including standing, cleaning and safely handling kitchen equipmentA valid NSW Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain oneWhy Busy Bees?
