We are seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to join our design team.
You'll be contributing to electronic product designs from concept through to production, working closely with our engineering and manufacturing teams to deliver robust, cost-effective, manufacturable solutions for our customers.Working closely with customers and cross-functional teams, you will take ownership of engineering delivery from initial concept through to production, ensuring high-quality, commercially successful outcomes.If you thrive in an environment where you can balance technical excellence, customer engagement and team leadership, this role offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact on the development of innovative electronic productsKey responsibilities and elements of the role include:Design analogue and digital electronic circuits and PCBs for new and existing products, from concept through to production releaseSelect components with manufacturability, cost, availability, and reliability in mind, working with our approved supplier baseCollaborate with firmware/software engineers to ensure hardware and software integrate seamlesslySupport prototyping and validation of new designs, including bring-up, debugging, and testingEnsure designs meet relevant Australian standards such as EMC, radiocommunications, electrical safety (e.g. AS/NZS ****, AS/NZS *****), including support for formal certification testing where requiredSupport transition of designs into production,



working with our SMT/PCB assembly and product test teamsContribute to root-cause analysis and design improvements for existing productsMaintain accurate design records, BOMs, and technical documentationKey Skills & Experience:Degree qualified in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related disciplineExperience in electronic hardware design (analogue and/or digital)Strong schematic capture and PCB layout skills (e.g. Altium, KiCad, or similar)Solid understanding of embedded hardware design and interfacing with microcontroller-based systemsPractical, hands‐on approach — comfortable with prototyping, debugging, and lab-based validationCompetent with basic mechanical design for electronics: enclosures, panel layouts, mounting and test jigs.
Includes producing parts suitable for fabrication or 3D printing.Demonstrated experience designing to Australian Standards (AS/NZS) and managing EMC compliance: design, diagnosis and testing.Experience with PIC microcontroller or ARM-based firmware/hardware co-designFamiliarity with physical user interface design: switches, displays, indicators and membrane keypads.Working knowledge of embedded firmware: enough to collaborate effectively with firmware engineers and make sound hardware/firmware trade‐offs.Proficiency with Autodesk Fusion.Personal Attributes:Takes personal ownership and accountability for decisions and commitments.A robust problem-solver who enjoys tackling difficult technical challenges.Communicates clearly.Detail-focused, with a strong eye for accuracy and quality.Continuously looks for better ways of doing things, and values sound processes.
