This is a full-time position - 38 hours per week - that plays a vital role in delivering high-quality nursing care to our aged care residents.
As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing individualised care plans whilst ensuring the wellbeing and comfort of our residents.
This position offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact on residents' lives whilst working within a supportive and collaborative team environment.What you'll be doingConducting comprehensive health assessments and developing individualised care plans for residentsAdministering medications and monitoring residents' responses to treatment in accordance with best practice standardsProviding direct nursing care including wound care, catheter management, and other clinical interventions as requiredMonitoring and recording vital signs and health status changes, reporting concerns to relevant medical practitionersCollaborating with multidisciplinary teams including doctors, allied health professionals, and care staff to ensure coordinated, holistic careSupporting residents' emotional and psychological wellbeing whilst promoting independence and dignityMaintaining accurate and up-to-date resident health records and documentationContributing to continuous improvement in care practices and participating in staff development activitiesEnsuring compliance with aged care standards, regulations,
and organisational policiesWhat we're looking forCurrent registration with AHPRA as a Registered NurseDemonstrated experience in aged care nursing or a related healthcare settingStrong knowledge of aged care practices, geriatric health conditions, and evidence-based care approachesExcellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills with the ability to respond appropriately to residents' changing health needsProficiency in medication administration and managementAbility to communicate effectively with residents, families, and multidisciplinary team membersStrong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise competing demandsCommitment to delivering compassionate, person-centred care and maintaining residents' dignityDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environmentCurrent First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)Familiarity with electronic health records and clinical documentation systems is desirableWhat we offerAt Woombye Care, we value our nursing staff and offer a range of benefits to support your professional growth and wellbeing.
