Role Overview:We are seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to provide technical leadership across all phases of energy projects, from concept and detailed design to commissioning and operations.
The role offers exposure to utility-scale solar, wind, BESS, and HV substation projects, collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders including clients, TNSPs, and AEMO.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead electrical design for HV substations and renewable energy projectsProvide technical guidance and review for specifications, reports,
and designsSupport commissioning and compliance activities across projectsCollaborate with grid connection and advisory teams to ensure seamless project deliveryMentor and support junior engineers
Requirements:
Degree in Electrical EngineeringMinimum 15 years experience in HV substations and renewable energy designMinimum 2 years of experience in Australian projects with full working rightsStrong knowledge of transmission, protection, and control systemsFamiliarity with grid connection processes and Australian standards (EA, RPEV/RPEQ desirable)Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
