SaS Supports is currently looking for the right fit of Disability Support Workers to help boost our team of dedicated workers.
Persons working within this role are responsible for using the strategies determined in the participant's support plan.
All practices are participant-focused and promote their choices, rights and decisions.
Due to the variable nature of participants, this role requires the worker to promote participants' voices, choices and report any areas of concern.




The participant is at the centre of all practices.Shifts rostered to cover a 24/7 Care.Key responsibilitiesAlways check your understanding of the participant's required tasks before commencing your workImplement personal hygiene and infection control proceduresBe alert if you notice the participant is distressed or apatheticAdjust your tasks to meet participant's needs, preferences and prioritiesRecord all work as per the organisation's requirementsAssist people to perform key daily activitiesFacilitate daily personal hygiene and dressing tasksPerform home-based tasks such as food preparation and houseworkUndertake tasks outside the home such as shoppingEnsure varied programs of social activitiesAbout youCurrent NDIS Worker Screening and WWCCFirst Aid CertificateDriver's LicenseReliable and comprehensively insured vehicleWorker Orientation Module: Quality, safety and youInfection Control TrainingPreferred minimum six months relevant experienceExperience supporting people with disabilityVerbal and written communication skills
