Our strength comes from combining engineering, project management and construction capability within the one business – allowing our people to be involved in projects from concept and design through to construction, commissioning and handover.We currently have a significant volume of secured work in South Australia, including major water and wastewater treatment and distribution system expansions in the Adelaide Hills and metropolitan growth areas.We are now looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Adelaide team and take a leading role in the delivery of these projects.This is an opportunity to step into a strong existing workload, work on technically interesting infrastructure projects and become an important part of Waternish's continued growth in South Australia and across Australia.The opportunityBased in Adelaide, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects from award through to completion.Your initial focus will be on a substantial portfolio of secured work in South Australia, including treatment plant expansions, water and wastewater distribution infrastructure, pump stations, pipelines, mechanical and process installations and upgrades to operating facilities.Over time, the role may also involve managing or supporting Waternish projects elsewhere in Australia from our Adelaide base.You will work closely with Waternish's engineering, construction and commercial teams and will have the autonomy expected of an experienced Project Manager.Your responsibilities will include:Managing projects from contract award,



planning and mobilisation through construction, commissioning and close-outLeading Project Engineers, Site Supervisors, construction personnel, subcontractors and suppliersDeveloping project delivery strategies, programs, budgets and resource plansTaking ownership of project financial performance, forecasting, cost control and reportingManaging contracts, variations, procurement, subcontractors and commercial outcomesIdentifying and managing project risks and opportunitiesEstablishing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and other project stakeholdersWorking closely with design teams to ensure practical, constructable and cost-effective outcomesProviding leadership in safety, quality and environmental performanceEnsuring projects are delivered safely, on time, to the required quality and within budgetSupporting tendering, project planning and development of future opportunitiesContributing to the continued development of Waternish's project delivery capabilityAbout youWe are looking for an experienced project professional who understands both project management and construction delivery.Ideally, you will bring:10+ years' experience in engineering, construction or infrastructure project deliveryDemonstrated responsibility for project budgets, programs, contracts and commercial outcomesExperience leading multidisciplinary project and construction teamsStrong client and stakeholder management skillsA practical understanding of how projects are constructed, not simply how they are managedStrong commercial judgement and an ability to identify and resolve issues before they become problemsExperience managing subcontractors, suppliers and procurementA strong commitment to safety and qualityExcellent communication,
