Our client requires and experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join their busy team.
You will be working in a team of 4 in payrollJob tasks and responsibilitiesReporting to the Payroll Manager you will be responsible for assisting with the following:The Senior Payroll Officer is responsible for:Coordinate timely and accurate processing of the fortnightly payroll for all staff in accordance with current Enterprise Agreements, contracts and company policies and procedures including:Review and coding of timesheetsMaintenance and payment to external organisations of all related employee deductionsReconciliation and recovery of workers compensation paymentsReconciliation of all payroll related functions including fortnightly superannuation requirementsUpdating and maintenance of payroll system history and recordsProvide advice, guidance and support to Payroll Officers, the broader finance department and HR on payroll specific mattersMaintaining the integrity of the payroll system and associated processes through accurate and complete administrative and payroll processes, data entry,



record keeping and document management.Payroll testing as requiredEnsure a fair and consistent approach to payroll related enquiries and advice.Undertaking research and the collection of data to assist in the administration of projects.Assisting with any Payroll and finance projects as requiredContinuously strive for process improvements in the payroll functionAssisting in the review of Payroll procedures and work instructionsUndertaking timely internal and statutory reporting as well as end of year and ad-hoc reportingProducing ad hoc reports including payroll, leave, pay rates, allowances, costing reports etc.
